The Grounds

Plantation Jan Thiel Lodge is a luxurious and high-end space with accommodations for up to 20 guests, set on historic plantation grounds where salt and indigo were once cultivated. The estate features beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and two swimming pools. Guests can enjoy peaceful corners throughout the property, and outdoor trails are available for walking, cycling or experience the property on horseback with the estate’s own horses. Daily housekeeping and attentive service ensure a comfortable stay.

Food & Drinks

We have teamed up with local farmers and small business owners, allowing us to offer fresh, wholesome meals that can be tailored to all preferences. We strive to source local ingredients, wherever possible, free from artificial additives, with minimal use of salt and sugar. We take this matter very seriously as we want to ensure a fully nourished body, soul and mind in order for you to maximize all benefits. Hydration is key on a hot, Caribbean island like Curaçao. Nothing hydrates better than fresh, cold coconut water directly from the source. We will ensure you are never left feeling thirsty!!

Rooms

The historic main house features six luxury, high-end rooms: five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and one suite. Each room has its own décor and style, with first-floor rooms offering ocean views. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep to start each day refreshed. 

Behind the main house, a private cottage offers two bedrooms for guests seeking extra privacy. The apartment includes its own dipping pool and outdoor shower, perfect for cooling off in the tropical heat, while still providing full access to the lodge’s facilities. Every space blends comfort with the charm of the historic plantation, creating a serene retreat experience ideal for a small-group, immersive stay.
