THRIVE: YOGA INTENSIVE COURSE
Thrive is not a conventional relaxing retreat but a chance to practice yoga intensively. Thrive means to grow or develop well or vigorously. And this is what we seek in such an intensive course: Three days of concentrated dedicated practice into the ancient yogic science including asana, pranayama & mantra chanting without any distractions in a surrounding which is amazingly silent and remarkably pure.
The daily yoga practice can challenge you to explore your body, breath and mind. It will embrace a modern approach to the old yogic traditions to bring the understanding of the philosophy and psychology of yoga beyond the yoga mat, to assist the everyday daily lifestyle.
The program of this intensive retreat course is intended for those new to yoga as well as more experienced practitioners wishing to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga. It combines 20 hours practice of asana, pranayama, yoga philosophy as well as plenty of some time for relaxing, covering and self-reflection. It has its focus on asana with functional alignment and integrative anatomy. Each class will have a progressive approach to intensify the depth of asana and its knowledge so that you the students can also see cognitive changes in their approach to their practise. The pranayama sessions will be restorative classes to allow through breath control and expansion to impregnate the whole body with new energy allowing the body and mind to restore.
The course will take place at Kirina Resort. It is home for Pai Yoga Shala's drop in yoga school, the yoga hot spot of Pai.
You can also chose to stay in the premises in the fantastic newly refurbished rooms.
The shala is minutes away from Pai Walking Street and Night Market so it is perfect to escape when you fancy a wander. Alternatively, you can simply relax at the resort's swimming pool, gardens or the café.
Ideally, plan to arrive in Pai the night before so we can start on Friday promptly at 9am. We will finish on Sunday around 6pm so expect leaving any time after that 12pm on the Sunday.
Although the classes are optional, we recommend attending all the classes as they are all interconnected and some missed information might be relevant to proceed in the following class.

What is going to be
Nuno is an excellent yoga teacher who taught me how to start my practice as a beginner. He is very easy to understand and he puts a lot of effort in explaning alignment connected to his vast anatomy knowledge. I really enjoyed my time in Pai learning with him. I only wish I stayed longer as after one week I could really see a lot of improvement. I really recommend to everyone that is interested in learning more about yoga and especially whilst having a very safe and fun practise at the same time.
